| When making a multilayer board the first production stage involves the creation of the inner layer copper patterns on the multilayer cores. The core material is laminated with copper on both sides and requires a mechanical cleaning process with brushes to remove any oxides and potential contaminations. At the same time, the rotating brush rolls roughen the copper surface to achieve a well-defined surface finish which ensures a sufficient adhesive strength of the laminated photo resist on the copper. The photo resist is applied in the next production stage. |
